Matteo
Vianello born in Venice from the stormy marriage of a communist entrepreneur
and a belligerant nurse, Matteo Vianello fled, or perhaps quite simply took
his leave, from the island and its labyrinths in 1997. Catena di Villorba,
Milan, Los Angeles and San Francisco are not the most improbable of places
for the television infomercials of a provincial soothsayer, but rather the
various stages in the peregrinations of a designer and, perhaps, an artist.
In his silent heart of hearts lies the answer to this modest dilemma.
Matteo Vianello, nato a Venezia dal matrimonio burrascoso di un imprenditore
comunista ed una crocerossina bellicosa, all’inizio del millenovecentonovantasette,
fuggì, o forse semplicemente si congedò, dall'isola ed i suoi
labirinti. Catena di Villorba, Milano, Los Angeles e San Francisco non sono
le sedi improbabili della televendita di una maga di provincia, ma le tappe
della sua peregrinazione di designer e, forse, di artista. Nel suo cuore
silenzioso dorme la risposta a questo modesto dilemma.
